Heart is with everyone suffering through the horror of the storm of the century. My PA son only had minor damage.
How do you overcome such devasting loss?
All I can do is pray and send check to Red Cross.

4 hits have gone on website since I last checked. Wish I knew who you are, and I hope you are reading the blog. I hate to think I am writing to air. Easy week ahead to make plans for promotions after Christmas. Also, Cotton is checked out in three out of four Greenville County Library locations. Love knowing it is being read. Hope Joy is on their shelves soon. Concern for folks in path of Sandy. Been there–done that–very terrifying.

Tired & sleepy–so why am I blogging instead of being snuggled in bed with my kitty cat. Cause I am happy and not ready to give up the day. Two fun and interesting book events with Alpha Delta Kappy Teachers Sorority and Retired Officers Wives–both fun days. Love talking about Myra and her adventures. Being a former teacher and also Air Force wife, I felt bond with both and expecially when they had a bond with Myra.
Tonight I received call & invitation to Ready4Reading “Meet the Author” evening. I have been a part of this and read to children. I strongly believe that reading to young children is the key to success later. Look forward to being at this event on Nov 18 at Greenville’s McAllister Square. Join us for a fun evening of mingling with authors, readers and those who also believe in reading to young children. Now night, night

Fun and interesting day at beautiful Westminister Estates Retirement home. I was ready to sign up. Beautiful facilities, gourmet lunch and happy folks all around. I had a nice group attend my book talk. Some had already read books & made me feel really appreciated. These visits are not about selling books. I am well paid by their comments. It is an ego trip—and I am not ashamed to say that I enjoy.
I do enjoy writing the blog–even if I don’t know the
338 folks who have read it. Of course quite a few of those hits are me checking to see how many have read since the last time I checked. I didn’t realize I was so vain! I also confess that I check the library to see if my book is checked out–that sounds pretty self centered but don’t tell.

Happy Birthday (yesterday) the love of my life. I miss you every day.
Starting a busy but seem to be keeping up. Last night’s debate was a disappointment. Where was the real Obama?
Three book events coming up.
Tues Oct 9 with lovely ladies of Westminister Place
Mon Oct 15 at Poinsett Club with Alpha Delta Kappa Education Sorority–love being with teachers.
Wed Oct with Retired Officers Wives at Oakleaf Village

Books still selling well and Cotton is still leading. If in Greenville, visit Fiction Addiction’s new location on Woods Crossing behind Haywood Mall. Landmark to look for is “Fried Green Tomatoes” She always has my books on shelf.

Hello to Oct which has always been my favorite month cause that is when I met a Rambling Wreck from GA Tech who took my hand and never let it go until he was called to go above. Also Al and my son, John’s, birthday. Do I seem a bit nostalgic tonight? I have all of next week free–whee. Two book events that I look forward to doing.
10/9 with lovely ladies at Westminister Place
10/15 with Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Sorority at Poinsett Club. Love to be with educators.
Daughter, Erin, goes to England later in month. Am I envious–you bet. Went to Church picnic today wearing my new jeans. Life is good.
