4/25/12 Sorry Blog–long time since last post. Time passes too rapidly and I get sleepy too early. Wonderful trip to GA with two successful signings–lots of books sold and good reception. Ran out of Cotton and it was really in demand. Now I believe that “You Can Go Home Again” apology to Thomas Wolfe. Enjoyed a little down time this week and spent on spring cleaning. Sun 4/29, I give talk at Lee Rd. Methodist Church. This promises to be a large group. May 18-19 I will be at Blue Ridge Bookfest in Flat Rock. Loved it when I was there before. What’s not to love–two days in one of my favorite places, being treated like a sho nuf author and hobnobbing with some real sho nuf authors. Might even sell a book or two! Since last writing, my granddaughter, Allison, has turned 17, gotten her own car and a real drivers license. It’s cool to be grandmother of a teenager!

Busy week–appointments and getting ready for trip to GA next week. I will be at Fitzgerald library 0n Tues 3/27 at 7:00pm and in my home town, Swainsboro, on Thurs. 3/29 3:00-5:00 pm. Rumor has it that both are expecting a good turnout. The best part will be seeing old friends and family in both places. Myra must present herself well.

Fri 3/9 Busy and fun week. Visited Greenville Women’s Club on Monday. Wonderful to be in their historical and discuss my book with lovely and gracious ladies. Today met with St. Francis Life Wise Book Club. Again a lovely time with great ladies (do only ladies have book clubs?) Everyone had read both books and discussion was rewarding to me. One reader even said Angie was her most interesting character. Also sent books to Kanuga for their gift shop.! Love that Now Myra and I will take the weekend off. Granddaughter, Allison, will be confirmed into Episcopal Church on Sun. Happy & proud time

Home again after a perfect trip to Seneca. Staying with my best friends Deb & Bob King alway renews me, and the food is the best.
Gave a presentation at Seneca Women’s Club, a large group of lovely ladies, and everyone seemed to adopt Myra.
Nice to have a welcome home from a happy kitty.

Delightful book visit with the lovely ladies at Oakleaf Village. Surprised to see an old friend in the group who was there visiting her mother. She appreciated the fact that I was carrying a TAPPI bag—that’s an old paper mill memory since both our husbands worked together & attended these meetings.

I have two book clubs next week. I am ready to get into this again and hear readers discuss my story. I always wonder if their discussion would be different if I were not there—well I do love to hear the good stuff.

Every time I work myself into a self-indulgent states of gloom, God surprises me with a ray of hope. I started this day early hoping to find that ray of hope. Another rainy. Maybe this will come from another source.
