Delightful book visit with the lovely ladies at Oakleaf Village. Surprised to see an old friend in the group who was there visiting her mother. She appreciated the fact that I was carrying a TAPPI bag—that’s an old paper mill memory since both our husbands worked together & attended these meetings.

I have two book clubs next week. I am ready to get into this again and hear readers discuss my story. I always wonder if their discussion would be different if I were not there—well I do love to hear the good stuff.

finished taxes today–rejoice, rejoice

Every time I work myself into a self-indulgent states of gloom, God surprises me with a ray of hope. I started this day early hoping to find that ray of hope. Another rainy. Maybe this will come from another source.

Wonderful day–saw my granddaughter installed as youth vestry member. This afternoon saw movie that touched my heart–War Horse. Such a great story and so well done. Then a Cracker Barrel meal–life is good. Next week hope to do some book promotions Several things are in the works. A story is running around in my brain again. I am trying to keep it quiet. Shirley

Internet refused to work today–very upsetting because I was all ready for a day of work. Daughter, Erin, came over at noon and got it going again with unplugging and and re-plugging a power switch. That college degree has certainly be a help for me! Wonderful Italian dinner and glass of Chianti with a dear friend tonight. Great end for the week. Notice I haven’t even mention the word b-o-o-k.

My horoscope today said I would kiss the one I love at midnight. I guess that means my cat, Lorna. I have had my share of great New Year’s Eves with the love of my life, so that is all you can hope for in one lifetime. Myra & I look forward to a great 2012 with many new readers.
